The Centrale Ristotheatre opened on the 29th of January 2003.
The building as we found it when construction work started was built between 1925 and 1930, after the demolition of the old Cinema Campidoglio and reconstruction of Teatro Centrale.

In the years of its existence many actors like Aldo Fabrizi, Fiorenzo Fiorentini, Ettore Petrolini and Carmelo Bene performed on the stage of Teatro Centrale.

In the 70’s, the Teatro Centrale was often the venue for concerts, infact, Renato Zero recorded live his debut album No Mamma No at Centrale. In 1976 it offered the radical party a place for organizing its conventions and debates before becoming a cinema again and closed for a period of about 10 years.

Thanks to the town council resolution “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso” in 2001,which allows private companies to restructure old theatres and cinemas with the possibility to use part of the surface as a restaurant, the Ristoteatro, new style, could be opened.

The construction works took about 2 years …. and finally, after many doubts between cinema and theatre, the Centrale found its destination: Dinner theatre! A combination of a nice dinner accompanied by a variety show.
